Tips for a
Successful Natural Tooth Replacement: - If the tooth is dirty, please rinse it with water to get the
dirt off.
- Place the tooth back in your mouth, either back
in the tooth socket or along the gum to help the tooth stay
moist. Only do this if the patient is conscious and
will not swallow or inhale the tooth!
- The tooth may be placed in a glass of milk for transport to the
dental office. If milk is not available, water with a
pinch of salt may be substituted.
- Get to the dentist within 30 minutes.
- Your tooth may be able to survive outside of the
socket for up to one hour.
- Time is of the essence. Call immediately to have the
tooth set with a temporary, wax bridge.
